Sunshine Kids Gala
The Rochester Automobile Dealers' Association presented the Sunshine Campus a check for $60,000.
The RADA/Rochester Rotary Sunshine Kids Gala completed its third year on February 24th. It was the best Gala yet. The RADA Charitable Foundation presented a check in the amount of $60,000 to the Rochester Rotary in support of the Sunshine Campus for children with disabilities. This award represents the largest donation ever made by the RADA Charitable Foundation. In addition, $20,000 will be distributed among Hope Hall, Day Star, The Dream Factory, Make-A-Wish of WNY and The Equicenter.
Attendance at the Sunshine Kids Gala was consistent with the prior year, approximately 450 guests. Richard Austin from Mike Barnard Chevrolet Buick in Geneva, NY was honored as the Dealership Employee of the Year. Robert W. Hunt, a Fairport Rotarian, was honored with the Building Bridges Award. Finally, Joe Floreano, was honored with the Community Humanitarian Award for his involvement in numerous organizations in the Rochester area over the years.
Guest speaker, former Buffalo Bill, Steve Tasker was outstanding! He shared stories of his days in the National Football League, and reminded the attendees of the importance of the event as it related to helping children in the community.
The partnership between RADA and Rochester Rotary continues to blossom. Two great organizations with long histories in the Rochester community working together for a common cause of helping children. We thank everyone who attended the Gala for your support and look forward to seeing you next year!

The annual charity event is actually two events for the price of one! A ticket allows for admission to the RADA/Rochester Rotary Sunshine Kids Gala on Friday, February 22th, as well as the Rochester International Auto Show Sneak Preview on Wednesday, February 27th.
The Gala is an elegant event with a cocktail party, sit-down dinner, silent and live auctions, and the opportunity to meet a Keynote Speaker for the evening. Proceeds benefit the Rotary Sunshine Campus for children with disabilities, and the RADA children’s charities.
The Auto Show Sneak Preview is a pre-party to the opening of the Rochester International Auto Show. Guests will have an opportunity to tour the more than 200 vehicles on display for the show in an elegant setting that includes carving stations and refreshments. It’s an ideal setting for getting an up close view of the latest vehicles coming to market.

590 south to 490 west, then follow Eastern Suburbs directions.
From Southern Tier:
390 north to Rochester. Follow signs to DOWNTOWN (390 north to 490 east). Exit Inner Loop east and St. Paul Street Exit (Exit 13). Turn right on St. Paul Street. Go through 4 traffic lights, crossing over Main Street. The South Avenue Parking Garage is on the left. The Convention Center is connected to the Parking Garage.
From the Greater Rochester International Airport: Take 390 north to 490 east. Follow signs to Downtown, exit Inner Loop east (Exit 13) and exit at St. Paul Street. Turn right onto St. Paul and go 4 traffic lights to South Avenue Parking Garage. Garage is on left side. The Convention Center is connected to the Parking Garage.
Greece, Hamlin, Brockport & Spencerport:
